Judi Freedman has been practicing Yoga and Pilates for 13 years and has been a certified instructor since 2006 through AAAI in Atlantic City. Dedicated to her Y students, she teaches here exclusively to provide the ultimate class experience.
Silver Yoga (chair yoga): Monday 9:15 – 10 AM A gentle style of Yoga performed mostly from a seated position. When standing poses are performed, the chair is used as a support if needed. Flexibility, balance, breathing and state of mind will all improve with regular practice.
Hatha Yoga (Mat work -poses): Tuesday 5:30 – 6:30 PM and Saturday 10:15 – 11:15 AM Anyone can practice Yoga…no matter the fitness level. The postures are structured to allow students to progress from basic to more challenging poses and by doing so they gain flexibility, better posture, and grow calm. Non competitive class: “no pain – no pain.” Poses can always be modified to the student’s need. Even after just one class, students feel lighter, refreshed and invigorated. Mats and Props are available to aid students.
Pilates (Standing and Floor/Mat): Saturday 11:15 – 11:45 AM Exercises emphasize the importance of “core strength” (a stable c enter) as well as good alignment and posture. Controlled, repetitive actions are used to realign and re-educate the body. Practicing Pilates may bring extra strength and stability to every-day activities. Light weights, Bands, Weighted Bars, etc. are incorporated into class format.
